Nutrigenomics, Immunology (and why the blog silence)

I have been a busy bee.

That is not a good enough excuse for why I have not been adding any content to this blog for you lovely people for so long. However, I have been learning instead. I have been busy studying Nutrigenomics and Immunology. Two separate topics (or are they?) and two separate courses.

The good news is that I am even more qualified than I was before. The bad news is that I have been neglecting you on here. Sorry about that. I will try to keep in contact more frequently from now on.

Immunology

As you may know, I find the human body infinitely fascinating. You may also know that I have an autoimmune condition. Combine these two and you will see how I got turned on to immunology. I have been geeking out with a course that is all things immune system. I will fill you in with more information in future posts but this course is on going one with new content being added all the time so I will have lots to share with you and with my clients. (If you see people with glazed eyes wandering the streets of East Sussex mumbling about auto-inflammation, Th1 and Th2 balance and stress chemistry it may be because I am just so excited about these topics and couldn't stop myself blabbing on about them.)

DNA double helix, the genetic code in each of your cells is influenced by the nutrients in your food.

Nutrigenomics

What the h-e-double hockey sticks is nutrigenomics?!

I am glad you asked.

It is the study of the effects of nutrients on the expression of someone's genetic makeup. Sounds fascinating and super cool, right?! Well, let me tell you, it is!

I have successfully completed the Nutrigenomics Practitioner Programme with Lifecode Gx and have also completed their Metabolics and Longevity Masterclass. (I told you I have been a busy bee!)

Nutrigenomics Practitioner

I have so much to say about Lifecode Gx and their excellent training and quality genetic reports -- I will write a post all about it soon. I also have a lot to share with you about genetics and how knowing your genetics can give you so much power and control over your health and wellness. Yes, control. Did you know that your genes can be influenced and that you can up regulate and or down regulate the expression of certain genes to influence outcomes in your body? Knowledge is power and this is knowledge and power we should all have access to.

I can not wait to share all I have learned with you all. Please do reach out if you are interested in working with me or would like to know more about genetic testing. Until next time be well and eat your greens.

All the best,

April
